Big Ben of the Redmen

TOP ROOKIE REDMAN: Fredericton native Ben Thompson accepts the trophy as the top rookie with the McGill University Redmen football team from head coach Sonny Wolfe at the recent McGill football year-end awards banquet. The rookie defensive tackle established himself as a starter with the rebuilding Redmen in his freshman season at the Montreal school.
Ben started his football career in 2000 with the New Maryland Mosquito Rams of the Capital Area Minor Football Association. He would go on to play with the Albert Street Eagles, Fredericton Junior Black Kats, Fredericton High School Varsity Black Kats and the MFL Capital Area Gladiators before moving on to McGill.
