Dear players and parents:  

        Capital Area Minor Football is pleased to announce the launch of our new Girls Flag Football program for students in grades 6,7 and 8.

        In this league teams play a low contact form of football. Each player wears a “flag” on each hip. Players are tackled by pulling off one of the flags. Each team has a maximum of 12 players with 6 players on the field at a time. Each player plays half the game on offence and half on defence.  

         Every player receives and keeps a team shirt.  Teams will practice and play games on Saturday afternoons starting at 3:00 p.m. The regular season begins on Sept. 11 and is scheduled to conclude on October 30. All players on all teams receive a football, a trophy plus a season end team pizza party.
        The association also holds “Fastest Player” and “Pass, Punt and Kick” competitions.

                  The fee for registrations postmarked by August 6 is $90. After that date it will cost $100. We urge you to register now by mail and save $10. Please complete the form on the back of this letter and return it with your payment to the address above. Cheques may be postdated to August 23. Or you may register online from July 15 to August 6 at  www.snb.ca/camfa
   
         Your registration now reserves your spot. Most players will be assigned to teams based on school attended. Students attending any middle school in the Capital Area are eligible to play. We can accommodate a maximum of 48 players, ie four teams. Those who register now can simply show up for the training camp at Barker's Point School Field in Fredericton on August 24 at 6 P.M.
